Turnip Point is an emerging Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to tackling food sustainability and empowering individuals to make healthier food choices.
We aim to reduce food waste by rescuing ingredients that would otherwise end up in landfill, and use these ingredients to educate and support communities, especially those struggling to access a balanced diet.
About us
Food Rescue and Redistribution:
We partner with supermarkets, restaurants, and other sources such as Fareshare to collect surplus food.
This rescued food is transformed into nutritious meals and distributed to those in need.
Community Lunches:
Food Trucks:
What we do
We host community lunches to serve individuals relying on social supermarkets and extend our reach to those who have yet to benefit from such services.
Our food trucks offer affordable, innovative meals made from surplus ingredients. Each purchase helps fund meals for those in need, fostering a pay-it-forward model.
Events and Collaborations:
We organise events, effective marketing, establish community allotments and cafés, and partner with corporations,
colleges, universities, weddings, markets
and festivals to promote our cause and distribute our products.
